I began this incredible underwater journey with my wife in the fall of 2008. We completed our NAUI Advanced Scuba Diver training together, and with her encouragement—along with the outstanding team at Scuba Steve’s Dive Shop in Tyler, Texas—I went on to earn my Rescue Diver, Master Diver, and Divemaster certifications. I served as a Divemaster at Scuba Steve’s for more than five years before moving away.

When I returned years later, the shop welcomed me back and inspired me to pursue becoming a NAUI Dive Instructor. For the past 14 years, I’ve had the privilege of leading scuba summer camps through Tyler Junior College, introducing 10- to 15-year-olds to the excitement of the underwater world.

Sharing the adventure and wonder of diving with the next generation is something I’m truly passionate about.
