I enrolled in my Open Water class at Scuba Steve’s in May 2009. I was so excited to begin that, under the guidance of Instructors Billy Hunter and Gary Peacock, I quickly continued on to complete my Advanced, Rescue, Master Diver, and Divemaster certifications. After serving as a Divemaster at Scuba Steve’s for a year and a half, my passion for diving only grew stronger—strong enough to carry me through the Instructor Training Course under ITC Dean Pennington.

I’ve been an active instructor with Scuba Steve’s ever since. My respect for the shop’s commitment to “Safety above all else—and fun” is unwavering.

And my love for seeing the spark in an Open Water student’s eyes when they’re welcomed into the Scuba Steve’s family never fades.
