​With more than two decades of experience in the fire service, I’ve built my career around protecting others and preparing responders for the challenges they face in the field. Today, I serve as a Special Operations Captain with a Fire Department in East Texas, where our teams specialize in Rope, Trench, Swift Water, Structural Collapse, and Confined Space rescues.

As a Public Safety Dive Instructor, my focus is directed at responder safety—ensuring that those who step into harm’s way are trained, confident, and capable.  Guaranteeing that responders are properly prepared, well-trained, and able to return home safely remains at the core of everything we do. My non-negotiable standard for high-quality training is reflected in the trust I place in the instructors at Scuba Steve’s—professionals to whom I confidently entrust the safety of my own family.
